the voice

Mezzo-soprano, trained at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy. The repertoire is archaic Balkan and Romanian — diaphonic close harmonies, microtones, rainmaking songs carried by mouth and never written down. Unamplified, the voice is built to reach the back of a room on its own; in the installations it gets handed to Ambisonics, multichannel arrays and interactive sculpture.
